TANCET 2012 SYLLABUS FORMAT AND EXAM PATTERN
TANCET is 2 hours.
The Entrance Test question paper shall consist of 3 parts.
Part-I
Part-II are compulsory and the candidates have to choose any one subsection out of 14 in
Part-III depending upon his specialization.
Part – I Mathematics :
30 objective type questions and the candidates should answer all the 30 questions.
Part – II Basic Engineering & Sciences :
45 objective type questions. The candidates should answer a minimum of 30 questions. All the correct answers upto a maximum of 30 will be awarded 1 mark each and for all the wrong answers 1/4 mark shall be deducted for each.
Part – III Specializations
14 subsections for various disciplines, like CSE,EEE,MECH,CIVIL, etc.. Each subsection will have 40/45 objective type questions. The candidates have to choose any one subsection depending on his specialization, and to answer a minimum of 40 questions. All the correct answers up to a maximum of 40 will be awarded 1 mark each and for all the wrong answers 1/4 mark shall be deducted for each.
